Frequently Asked Questions
What to wear to an appointment? The appropriate attire to wear to an appointment is dependant on the presenting complaint and your level of comfort - i.e if you have pain in your hip, shorts or appropriate underwear (non transparent) is fine for the session.
Where to find the clinic? The clinic is found in Linen Hall on 162 Regent Street, the entrance to the building is between Calvin Klein and Guess. The waiting area is on the 4th floor just past the floors entrance door.
Is there an elevator? The building has 2 wheelchair accessible elevators that go up to the 4th floor.
Does sports massage hurt? This is dependant on the presenting injury or complaint and the clients pain tolerance. Sports massage can involve components of pain as a means of reducing muscular tension. If you feel that your pain tolerance is low, feel free to let your practitioner know and they will cater the treatment to you.
Does cupping involve blood? We strictly do not practise any wet cupping but there will be the odd occasion that a pimple or small open wound that may give small amounts of blood. We will disinfect the area of afterwards to mitigate infection risk post treatment.
Is osteopathy only for joints? Osteopathy is a holistic treatment modality that covers all tissues in the body with referral capabilities in case you require an external scan for the presenting injury.
